I love Big Families ;-) Charlotte contacted me to get some family portraits for her and her family…. Her parents were celebrating their 50TH wedding anniversary. Congrats you two… you have a gorgeous family and super sweet grandchildren. Wishing you 50 more years of happiness !!!

I know you are STRESSED that your wedding day may be ruined, or your vacation is canceled because of the recent Oil Spill…. As of today things are still gorgeous as ever on the beach. The beach is still white, normally by mid day any oil that has washed ashore is picked up and there is barely a trace of any oil… well except for the hazmat crews and tons of news crews…lol As of today I have been shooting sessions and weddings on the beach at least 3 times a week, and every session turned our wonderful ! I even had a bride go into the water with her white gown in and it did not ruin !  Our Beaches are STILL OPEN ! On another note…. even if there are a few oil clumps washed up they are not where we will be taking pictures. I tend to take pictures up on the dry white sand…. away from where the water washes upon the shore, so no oil will be seen in your pictures !

If you are wanting an update about how things really look please feel free to call me, I will be glad to let you know what is going on.

Here are a few pictures from a week ago from Pensacola Beach… so funny to see all the news crews and the hazmat crews among the swimmers…lol

BTW: the dark clumps on the beach is seaweed … NOT OIL…lol  We get seaweed washing ashore from time to time ;-)

So Blade and I headed East last week for a mini vacation … We hit Gainesville, then Tallahassee, then some little towns in Georgia… ending up visiting Grandma and the family ;-) Had a blast… here are some pics of my lil man… Back to work now, so if you are expecting something from me I AM ON IT !!!!!   lol

Yes… I managed to take the time to get some pics of Blade the other day ;-) and yes I know that I should take more pics of him… I will regret it later… I am a terrible picture taking mommy….lol

He watched Toy Story a few weeks ago and absolutely LOVES IT !!!  So now on to the toy collecting… his collection has majorly grown over the last couple of weeks ;-) Here’s my boy.. Blade

With the exception of some wedding albums and mailing out the last of the image dvd’s I think I am finally caught up… YAY YAY YAY . Now time to start getting back to life, family, great friends and BLOGGING…lol

FINAL UPDATE: ok, so yeah, I was crummy at keeping the blog updated while in the hospital…lol
But I AM HOME home HoMe hOMe ;-)  YAAAAY !!!!! After being really sickly at home for 2 weeks, then
staying at the hospital for a week I am finally home and starting to actually feel better.  Surgeries are over
(I HOPE), Blade came home last night, and I am feeling just a tad bit better every day. I will be back to
editing tomorrow ! Thanks to all of my friends, family, and facebook family for your emails and
telephone calls… I was a bit out of sorts for the first few days at the hospital… so if you called during
that time I DO NOT KNOW who that woman was that you were talking to. I have NEVER MET HER, and
hopefully NEVER WILL AGAIN !!!  lol  I have heard so many funny stories about the kind of things
she told you…lol I am trying to sort through emails now, so give me until tomorrow to hear a reply
from me if you sent one… I do know that Anna’s images are just about complete, I think I only have
20 or so of hers to edit, and Carla, you are next ! I may have to take the lazy route on blogging… It
does take a considerable amount of time and I think I would rather focus my strength and energy
to getting images done and in the mail instead of blogging right now… Love you all… Jen

UPDATE: it is 3:30pm Monday… Sunday and today are by far the WORST days yet, waiting for a surgeon
appointment, will keep you posted. IF you need a portrait session please call my cell phone.
Tom still has some available slots open this week and next.

UPDATE: it is 5pm Saturday, I am home from ER… feeling ok thanks to modern medicine…lol
I have to follow up with a surgeon next week… gallbladder may be history ;( I will keep you
posted !  I am going to try and rest a little more today, and knock out a few portrait sessions
tomorrow morning !!!  Thanks for all your emails and calls, I knew I had the VERY BEST friends,
family, and clients in the WHOLE WORLD !!!!!  Jen

For those of you who follow me on twitter and facebook you know that I have been terribly sick for the past week.
I was feeling much better yesterday afternoon but around 10pm I was dog sick again, and last night was the
worst night yet… this morning has been terrible too ! If you don’t see me update this by lunchtime tomorrow
then you know I went to the ER… For those of you PATIENTLY waiting for your images I am terribly sorry !
If this is what I think it is I should be home no later than Tuesday ;-) And I Promise to get right back into the
swing of things… I have glanced over everyone’s images and they ROCK… of course because I have the best
clients ever !!!!!  So no worries, yes your images turned out , no you did not break the camera, yes I used my
“skinny lens” and yes you are going to absolutely LOVE THEM !!!!  Promise !!!

Tomorrow - Friday is my son’s 3rd birthday:)  Boy how time flies, it has been a VERY challenging year from 2 to 3.
Tonight at dinner Tom said “I hope 3 is much better than 2″, hate to tell him, but from what I hear it is WORSE…lol
Oh well, we will survive and most likely love evey minute of it ! and yes… he LOVES Gravedigger ;-)

He loves that big Gravedigger… rides on top of it all over the house, I catch him digging out empty boxes and bottles from the trash can all the time…
he uses his gravedigger to SMASH them…lol But boys will always be boys and that is fine by me !!!

Yep… that is for sure my kid! Puts on his flip flops every time he walks out the door :)

Happy Birthday Blade… we LOVE you very much…
